Welcome to the East Hawai'i Farm-to-Car Program
brought to you by the Hilo County Farm Bureau
The program is an online farmer's market where consumers can purchase local produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, and value-added products.
Orders can be picked up weekly at our drive-thru distribution at the Puna Hongwanji Mission in Kea‘au.
How it works:
Friday, 10AM until Monday, 6PM: Our online marketplace will be open for purchases.
Wednesday from 3-6PM: Distribution Day! Drive through our convenient pickup location at the Puna Hongwanji Mission in Kea'au , where we'll bring your order right to your car.
Simply create a customer account and do your online shopping anytime between Friday and Monday!
The fine print: To help cover operating costs, a $2 pickup fee will be added to your order. There is a $20 minimum for all orders. Purchases can be made by debit or credit card, and your card will be charged on Monday evenings when the shop closes. If you do not pick up your order on Wednesday, a $10 late fee will be charged for any alternative pickup arrangements.
We'll be following COVID-19 socially distancing and sanitation procedures at our distribution site to keep everyone safe.
PROTOCOL FOR ORDER PICKUP: Please pull up to our tent, stay in your vehicle, and wear your face mask.
Please keep in mind that while our farmers strive to bring you the cleanest produce possible, you should exercise caution and wash all produce thoroughly before consuming.
